COMMUNICATIONS
|
The
heartbeat of the West Monroe Police Department begins with the
Communications Division. Operating twenty four hours a day, seven days
a week; this division receives and dispatches all calls for service through
its state-of-the-art telecommunications system. They capture and
record a complete history of all telephone and radio communications through
the use of C. A. D. (Computer Aided Dispatch). Communications officers
prioritize all calls in relation to their severity and then utilize its
telecommunications equipment to establish and coordinate proper public
safety response by assigning and dispatching police resources.
