The Patrol Division is under the direct command of Major Jerry Stansbury.  As well as supervising the Uniform Patrol, Major Stansbury manages the K-9 Units, Traffic Units, School Crossing Guards, School Resource Officers, Neighborhood Stabilization Team and the Reserve Officer Program.

     Proactive patrol is the primary activity of the Uniform Patrol Officer.  This includes much more than driving through neighborhoods looking for evidence of crime.  During patrol, officers engage in a wide variety of activities including Criminal Code and Motor Vehicle Code Enforcement, responding to calls for service/complaints, conducting criminal investigations, transporting prisoners as well as performing community relations and crime prevention duties.
